Jiaxing lawyers association is composed of group members and individual members. At present, there are 59 group members and 537 individual members. Jiaxing lawyers' Congress, which is held every five years, is the highest authority of Jiaxing lawyers' Association. The Council is the permanent body of the Congress. It is elected by the Congress and is responsible to the Congress for a term of five years. The president's meeting is the permanent body of the Council and is responsible to the Council.

Jiaxing Lawyers Association implements the president meeting system. The association has a secretariat, which is responsible for the specific implementation of the resolutions and decisions of the lawyers' Congress, the Council and the president's meeting, and undertakes the daily work of the lawyers' Association; At the same time, there are six special committees for representative work, reward, punishment, lawyers' rights protection, business guidance, member organizations and social work to perform the relevant duties of the Municipal Lawyers Association; There are 11 professional committees in criminal, civil and commercial, foreign-related and WTO, administrative and labor, company and financial securities business, publicity and exchange and member activities, lawyer assessment, female lawyer work, young lawyer work, minor protection work and internship assessment. They organize theoretical research and business exchange activities according to the activity rules of the business committee and draft relevant business specifications for lawyers.

Main responsibilities:

（1） Support members to practice according to law and safeguard their legitimate rights and interests;

（2） To formulate and supervise the implementation of lawyers' practice norms;

（3） To be responsible for the education, inspection and supervision of lawyers' professional ethics and practice discipline;

（4） Participate in legislative activities and put forward suggestions on legal system construction and lawyer system construction to relevant departments;

（5） Encourage and support members to participate in and discuss politics;

（6） Summarize and exchange lawyers' working experience and improve the practicing level of members;

（7） To organize lawyer training;

（8） Formulate and implement reward and punishment measures for members;

（9） Organize members to carry out external exchanges;

（10） Publicizing lawyers' work and publishing lawyers' publications;

（11） Provide welfare and other guarantees for members;

（12） To guide the standardized management of law firms;

（13） Coordinate relations with relevant judicial, law enforcement and administrative authorities;

（14） Be responsible for the registration and management of members;

（15） Handle complaints against members;

（16） Mediate disputes arising from members' practice activities;

（17） Investigate and collect evidence for violations of laws and disciplines, make industrial punishments and put forward administrative punishment suggestions to Jiaxing Municipal Bureau of justice;

（18） To organize and manage the internship activities of the lawyers applying for practicing, and assess the interns.

（19） Other duties entrusted by Jiaxing Judicial Bureau, all China Lawyers Association and Zhejiang Lawyers Association;

（20） Other duties specified by laws, regulations and the articles of association.
