Jinhua Lawyers Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association) was established in December 1997. It is a social organization legal person established according to law. It is a self-discipline organization of the lawyer industry. It administers Jinhua lawyers and law firms according to law and is supervised and guided by Jinhua Judicial Bureau and Zhejiang Lawyers Association.

Lawyers (including company lawyers, public lawyers and legal aid lawyers) who have obtained the lawyer's practicing certificate according to the provisions of the lawyers law of the people's Republic of China and the application of Jinhua Municipal Bureau of justice are individual members of the Association; The law firm that has been declared and legally approved by Jinhua Municipal Bureau of justice is a group member of the association. The association has 2186 individual members and 195 group members.

The main responsibilities of the association are: to undertake the professional management of lawyers; To ensure that lawyers practice according to law and safeguard the legal rights and interests of lawyers; Summarize and exchange lawyers' work experience and participate in social welfare activities; Organize lawyers' professional training, professional ethics and professional discipline education, and assess lawyers' practice activities; To organize and manage the internship activities of the lawyers applying for practicing, and assess the interns; Reward and punish lawyers and law firms; Accept complaints or reports against lawyers, mediate disputes arising from lawyers' practice activities, and accept lawyers' complaints; We will develop lawyers' welfare undertakings and hold various cultural and sports activities.

The lawyers' Congress is the highest authority of the association, with a term of office of four years. The Council is the permanent authority of the lawyers' Congress. It is elected by the lawyers' Congress and is responsible to the lawyers' Congress. The Standing Council is the permanent authority of the Council and exercises its functions and powers when the Council is not in session. The association has a Secretariat as the executive organ of the association, which is responsible for implementing the resolutions and decisions of the lawyers' Congress, the Council and the Standing Council, and undertaking the daily work of the lawyers association. According to the needs of industry development, 13 special committees and 12 professional committees were established as special working bodies to perform their duties.

Since its establishment, the association has been able to operate in strict accordance with the articles of association, and various rules and regulations have been relatively perfect, which has played an irreplaceable role in the healthy and orderly development of Jinhua lawyers' industry. Since its establishment, the association has not been punished for any violation of laws and regulations, and has been continuously identified as a "5A level social organization" by Jinhua Civil Affairs Bureau. The Party committee of Jinhua Lawyers Association has successively won the honors of "Jinhua new social organization party building demonstration unit", "Zhejiang advanced grassroots party organization", "five good grassroots party organization" and "national advanced grassroots party organization".
