Wenzhou lawyers association is a social organization legal person established according to law and a self regulatory industry organization of Wenzhou lawyers. According to the lawyers law of the people's Republic of China, the articles of association of all China Lawyers Association and the articles of association of Wenzhou Lawyers Association, Wenzhou Lawyers Association implements industry management on all law firms and lawyers in Wenzhou.

In January 1994, Wenzhou lawyers held the first lawyers' Congress, announcing the formal establishment of Wenzhou lawyers' Association, which was a milestone in the development history of Wenzhou lawyers' system. From the first Wenzhou lawyers' Congress to the sixth Wenzhou lawyers' Congress in 2014, Wenzhou lawyers' Association has gone through 20 years. The leaders of the former two associations were all judicial administrative officials. In 2005, the third lawyers' Congress carried out reform, and the president and vice president of the association were all appointed by practicing lawyers elected by the Congress. This is the first time in Wenzhou that all practicing lawyers form the decision-making level of the association, which marks that the "two combination" management of Wenzhou's lawyer industry has reached a new level. At present, the number of members of the association is increasing at an annual rate of 10%.

The lawyers' Congress is the highest authority of Wenzhou lawyers' Association. The Council is a permanent body when the lawyers' Congress is not in session and is elected by the lawyers' Congress. When the Council is not in session, the Standing Council shall exercise the functions and powers of the Council and implement the resolutions of the Council.

Wenzhou Lawyers Association has established party committee and Youth League Committee. The association has 15 special working committees: development and rules Working Committee, practicing rights and Interests Protection Working Committee, professional ethics and discipline Working Committee, business guidance and training working committee, asset management and finance working committee, cultural construction and publicity Working Committee, Assessment Working Committee, political participation and discussion Working Committee, public welfare working Committee, and foreign exchange working committee, The Working Committee for non Party Intellectuals, the Working Committee for youth, the Working Committee for women lawyers, the Working Committee for lawyers of public companies, and the Working Committee for the management and guidance of law firms.

The purpose of Wenzhou lawyers association is to unite and educate its members to safeguard the dignity of the Constitution and the law, be loyal to the cause of lawyers, and strictly abide by the professional ethics and practice discipline of lawyers; Safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of members and improve their professional quality; We will strengthen the self-discipline of the profession, promote the healthy development of lawyers, and strive to govern the country according to law, build a socialist country ruled by law, and promote social civilization and progress
