Ningbo Lawyers Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association) was established in 1991. It is a social organization and legal person established according to law. It is a self-discipline organization of the lawyer industry. It administers Ningbo lawyers and law firms according to law and is supervised and guided by Ningbo Municipal Bureau of justice and Zhejiang Lawyers Association.

Lawyers (including company lawyers, public lawyers and legal aid lawyers) who have obtained the lawyer's practicing certificate according to the provisions of the lawyers law of the people's Republic of China and the application of Ningbo Municipal Bureau of justice are individual members of the Association; The law firm that has been declared and legally approved by Ningbo Municipal Bureau of justice is a group member of the association. The association has 2084 individual members and 143 group members.

The lawyers' Congress is the highest authority of the association, with a term of office of four years. The Council is the permanent authority of the lawyers' Congress. It is elected by the lawyers' Congress and is responsible to the lawyers' Congress. The Standing Council is the permanent authority of the Council and exercises its functions and powers when the Council is not in session. The association has a Secretariat as the executive organ of the association, which is responsible for implementing the resolutions and decisions of the lawyers' Congress, the Council and the Standing Council, and undertaking the daily work of the lawyers association. Since the 7th session, the board of supervisors has been established. The board of supervisors is elected by the lawyers' Congress and is responsible for and reports to the lawyers' Congress. According to the needs of industry development, the association has set up 8 special committees and 14 professional committees as special working bodies to perform their duties.
